A new social care website, which will be a central source of care and well-being information throughout Worcestershire has been launched!
The new Carewise website has been developed as a part of Worcestershire County Council's Choice and Control programme and the Government's changes to the delivery of Adult Social Care services. The council has developed this new database of services in partnership with a number of organisations across the county including Age Concern, Worcestershire Hub, Festival Housing, the Primary Care Trust, the Red Cross, Community First, DIAL and Worcestershire Association of Voluntary Organisations in Community Care (WAVOCC).
Carewise will contain information and contacts for a wide range of services from small local voluntary groups to larger commercial services and those offered by Social Care, Health and other public bodies. The system provides details of events as well as local & national services which support a broad range of desired outcomes, whether these services are free or provided at a cost to the user.
Members of the public will be able to access Carewise via the internet either directly or by approaching any of the advice and information services throughout Worcestershire, all of whom will have free access to the system. Using an advanced search option, people can search for specific outcomes or services and filter results down by location and a number of other options.
The new website can be found at www.whub.org.uk/carewise
